Description |
Come join us to explore effective equitable math instruction that reinforces learning through culturally relevant making. Through hands-on instruction and collaborative engagement, you will experience the intersection of mathematical thinking, creativity, culture, and identity. Each workshop will address age and grade appropriate mathematical concepts such as shapes, patterns, fractions, and place value in the Elementary grades, and proportional and multiplicative reasoning in the Middle grades. We will provide you with all the materials needed to make the most of these experiences. Participants will receive an actionable toolkit designed to support equitable access to math standards for students from diverse backgrounds. |

Up to 5 PDPs can be earned, 2 PDPs for participation in the Fundamentals Workshop and 3 PDPs for the Advanced. Participation cost is subsidized. There is a $15 materials fee to register for each workshop. Trainers Email any inquiries to makespace@lesley.edu |
