Lesley STEAM Learning Lab welcomed the entire faculty and administration from the Renaissance Community School in New Bedford, Mass, for a full day interactive workshop. Based on the school’s desire to integrate standards-based making into the curriculum, Lesley STEAM developed a series of projects to engage the staff in collaborative problem solving and inquiry-based learning.

STEAM in the Riverside Event
Lesley STEAM joined in another rollicking evening of making at the STEAM in Riverside event at the MLK Jr. Elementary School in Cambridge, thanks to Sharlene Yang, Coordinator of the Cambridge STEAM Initiative. K-8 students brought the idea of Hack the Dollar Store to life with outlandish electronic redesigns of dollar store items.

Over 130 junior kindergarten – 6th grade students from the Summer Compass Program came through the Lesley Makerspace to experience hands on robotics, electronics, and engineering projects.
