Lesley STEAM Learning Lab welcomed the entire faculty and administration from the Renaissance Community School in New Bedford, Mass, for a full day interactive workshop. Based on the school’s desire to integrate standards-based making into the curriculum, Lesley STEAM developed a series of projects to engage the staff in collaborative problem solving and inquiry-based learning.
It’s been a jam packed year of making at the Kennedy School, with Lesley STEAM supporting maker-minded projects in each of the K-8 classrooms. Check out our video highlighting this whole school approach to innovation:
Lesley STEAM joined in another rollicking evening of making at the STEAM in Riverside event at the MLK Jr. Elementary School in Cambridge, thanks to Sharlene Yang, Coordinator of the Cambridge STEAM Initiative. K-8 students brought the idea of Hack the Dollar Store to life with outlandish electronic redesigns of dollar store items.
