Lesley Hacks the Dollar Store at Boston Mini Maker Faire

We were thrilled to join over 80 local makers for the first Boston Mini Makerfaire at the Boston Children’s Museum on Saturday, July 23. The Lesley STEAM Team presented “Hack the Dollar Store” – where we invited participants of all ages to rip apart electronics and other items from the dollar store and, using art supplies, battery packs, conductive tape, and recyclables, repurpose the item into a completely new design or purpose.

Summer Compass Students Join the Maker Olympics

During their second week of summer, over 150 Lesley Summer Compass students immersed themselves in Olympic themed challenges in the Lesley Makerspace. These eager K-6th grade students experienced a variety of STEAM activities developed around each grade level.

Lesley STEAM participated in the second Somerville STEAM Social, which brought together the Somerville Public Schools along with a host of local STEAM related community programs and organizations.
